About My Practice

About The Practice

Pediatric Neurology Telemedicine Practice

Convenient, compassionate, and thorough care — wherever you are. Serving patients in Colorado — and soon expanding to Florida.

I support children and families with a wide range of neurological and developmental concerns, including:
• Headaches and migraines
• Developmental delays
• Seizures and epilepsy
• ADD/ADHD
• Autism spectrum disorder
• Learning or school-related struggles
• Behavioral concerns that may have a neurological component

I also explore conditions that can occur alongside neurological issues, such as hypermobility disorders.

My goal is to help you or your child understand what’s going on, feel supported, and move forward with clarity.

Medical Services

Practice & Payment Information

My practice is fully cash-based, which allows me to spend more time with families and focus on thoughtful, individualized care rather than insurance limitations.
Payment is due at the time of service.

If needed, I can provide diagnosis codes (ICD-10) for your child’s personal medical records or to support coordination of care with other providers. I do not provide superbills, CPT codes, or any insurance-related paperwork.

Important to know:

  • I do not bill or communicate with insurance companies.

  • The receipts provided cannot be submitted for insurance reimbursement.

  • Parents are welcome to schedule consultations without the child present, and these visits remain non-reimbursable.

If you ever have questions about this, please feel free to reach out — I want everything to feel clear, transparent, and comfortable.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions:

Does my child (the patient) need to be present for the appointment?

Usually, yes.
Part of the neurological evaluation involves observing your child, and in many cases, I am able to complete a very thorough neurological exam virtually,

including assessments of strength, coordination, gait, eye movements, and other

key neurological functions. For older children and teens, their input about their symptoms is extremely important.

If you would like a few minutes to speak with me privately during the visit, this can easily be arranged (for example, by having your child step into another room).

Just let me know when scheduling or at the start of your appointment.

Will my insurance cover my visit?

My practice is cash-based, which allows me to provide thoughtful, individualized care without insurance limitations.

  • I do not provide superbills

  • I do not provide CPT codes

  • I do not complete insurance paperwork

  • Insurance reimbursement is not guaranteed

Can I get a same-day appointment?

Same-day or next-day appointments are often available.

Do you prescribe medications?

Yes. When appropriate, I can prescribe medications for conditions such as headaches, seizures, ADHD, and others. I follow safe and evidence-based prescribing practices.
In some cases, I may need past medical records to ensure continuity of care.

Can you provide diagnosis codes (ICD-10)?

Yes. Diagnosis codes can be provided:

  • for your child’s personal medical records

  • to support coordination of care with other providers

I do not provide superbills, CPT codes, or insurance-related documents.

Can my child be seen if we live out of state?

Your child must be physically located in:

  • Colorado

  • Florida (coming soon)

Telemedicine laws require that I be licensed in the state where the patient is located during the visit.

Do you write letters for school or accommodations (IEP/504)?

Yes, I can provide clinical letters for schools, including documentation of diagnoses, recommendations for accommodations, or medication information.

I do not complete disability forms,  insurance-based forms. FMLA forms have an extra cost, we can discuss, generally about $10 ($15 if I need to fax forms).

Do you order labs or imaging?

Yes. If needed, I can order labs or imaging studies such as EEGs or MRIs. These can be completed at local hospitals or imaging centers. I do not complete

prior authorizations

for these tests, so your insurance may require you to obtain authorization

through your primary care provider or a referring clinician.

How long are appointments?

  • Initial consultations are longer so I can fully understand your child’s history and concerns.

  • Follow-up visits are slightly shorter and focused on progress, adjustments, and next steps.

  • Medication management visits generally shorter if stable on medication.

What if my child needs an in-person neurological exam?

If an in-person exam is needed, I will let you know and direct you to the appropriate local resources or specialists.
